PURPOSE: A method for calculating the quantity and design of a construction structure by using structure BIM(Building Information Modeling) is provided to reduce errors of execution quantity calculated during construction, the quantity of structures calculated in a design step, and the expected quantity of the structures by easily calculating the quaintly of the structures by inputting structure analysis and design information to the structure BIM. CONSTITUTION: A construction structure shape is formed by inputting points, lines, and planes(S10). A design geometry model is formed by using position information about the points, the lines, and the planes(S20). A primary structure BIM model of a building is written by using the design geometry model. A structure analysis model is completed by generating the structure BIM model as a structure analysis module and inputting additional information. Structure analysis and design are performed and structure analysis and design information required for quantity calculation is completed. Structure BIM for quantity calculation is completed by updating the structure analysis and design information(S60).
