PURPOSE: A rolling mill is provided to continue the rotation of upper and lower work rolls with the other motor members when a portion of motor members fail, thereby improving operating reliability. CONSTITUTION: A rolling mill(1) comprises an upper work roll(10), a main gear(20), sub gears(22), motor members(24), a rolling controller(30), a first rotating gear(14), and a second rotating gear(16). The upper work roll is installed opposite to a lower work roll(11) with a rolled material therebetween. The main gear is connected to the upper work roll by a first connection shaft(13). The sub gears are installed along the perimeter of the main gear to be engaged and rotated with the main gear. The motor members are respectively installed in the sub gears. The rolling controller individually controls the operation of the motor members. The first turning gear is installed on the first connection shaft. The second rotating gear is installed in a second connection shaft(15) connected to the lower work roll and engaged and rotated with the first rotating gear.
