PURPOSE: A fast calculation system of minimal path sets using independent modules in a fault tree and a fast calculation method thereof are provided to calculate modularized minimal path sets from modularized minimal cut sets, thereby reducing the quantity of computations. CONSTITUTION: A fault tree and multiple logic gates are stored in a hard disk(20). A processor performs a logical calculation of minimal path sets in the fault tree. A first processing unit(31) calculates OR gate-type independent modules from the fault tree in the hard disk. A second processing unit(32) calculates the minimal path sets of the independent modules extracted from the first processing tree. A third processing unit(33) calculates modularized minimal cut sets from the fault tree. A fourth processing unit(34) calculates modularized minimal path sets from the modularized minimal cut sets.
