Dityrosine compounds having selectivity for cysteine proteases and method for monitoring cysteine proteases using the same

PURPOSE: A method for detecting cysteine protease using dityrosine compounds is provided to diagnose cysteine protease-overexpressed diseases. CONSTITUTION: A dityrosine compound with cysteine protease selectivity is denoted by chemical formula 1. A method for preparing the compound of chemical formula 1 comprises a step of reaction of a compound of chemical formula 2 with a compound of chemical formula 3 under the presence of a catalyst and crosslinking agent. The catalyst is carbodimide and NHS, sulfo-NHS, carbodiimidazole, or woodward's reagent K. The reaction is performed under the presence of dichloromethane, dimethylformamide, or 1,4-dioxane. A sensor and a composition for detecting cysteine protease contain the compound of chemical formula 1.
