The circuit has a reading device (12) for reading a circuitry State in of a switch (13). An evaluating device (14) determines a control signal for a power output stage (19) based on the read circuitry state of the switch. The power output stage switches on an electromotor (11) based on the control signal. A validation device (25) verifies a function of the evaluating device based on the circuitry state of the switch and a measurement signal of a sensor (17) and allows switching-on of the electromotor when the validation result determines that the evaluating device operates correctly.
