The throttle (4) has a total inductor for attenuating transient differential mode currents (13) between a two-pole electric power source i.e. direct current (DC) source (6), and an electric load i.e. Marx generator (8), corresponding to the electric power source. Two coils (22) are interconnected between poles of the electric power source and two poles of the electric load, respectively such that inductance of the coils contributes to total inductance. The coils are magnetically coupled with each other, and a bypass path comprises a magnetic resistor.
