The contrast agent kinetics determining method involves determining a tomosynthesis-scan with low energy level and reconstructing an image volume data set, where image volume data set and the projection image are analyzed with an automation tool for automatic localization of suspected areas. A projection angel is automatically calculated based on the analyzed image volume data set, in which the localized suspected area is represented without overlapping the covered structures of the image volume data set. Another tomosynthesis-scan is determined with high energy level. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a mammography system for performing a contrast-enhanced dual energy tomosynthesis for the determination of contrast media; and (2) a computer program product for determining contrast agent kinetics of a lesion of an examination object.
