The device has an electrical plug connector (1) for charging a battery of an electric car. The electrical plug connector is connected with an electric cable (3) by a rivet joint (2), where the electric cable includes a cable socket (4), which is electrically connected with the electrical plug connector by the rivet joint. The rivet joint comprises an electrical conducting bolt, which is designed as extension of the electrical plug connector. The bolt is single-piece connected with the electrical plug connector.
