The motor system (1) has a cylinder (3) with a combustion chamber (31) for performing combustion of an air-fuel mixture. A fuel injector (6) is located for injecting fuel. A pressure reservoir (11) is provided for storing compressed fresh air. An air valve (10) per cylinder is provided to permit fresh air compressed within a pressure reservoir into the combustion chamber of the cylinder.
