The filter removes unpleasant odor components e.g. short-chain fatty acids, amine and ammonia, by chemical reactions e.g. aminolysis and acidolysis, with a foam-like material from air stream. The filter is made of polyesters and construction material e.g. polyurethane with aromatic polyurethane groupings, polyurethane foam or polyurethane granule. Pentamethylenediamine concentration in the air stream is determined according to flowing through the polyurethane foam by gas chromatography.
