Method for operating a wind power plant when a grid fault occurs, the wind power plant comprising a rotor with at least one rotor blade which can be adjusted in its blade pitch angle, a generator connected to the rotor for generating electrical power and at least one device for detecting an actual value of the speed of rotation of the generator, a value of the blade pitch angle and an actual value of a quantity representative of a generator torque, with the following method steps: • detection of a network fault, • detection of the actual value of the quantity representative of the generator torque and the speed of the generator if a network fault was detected, • determination of a change in the generator torque , • Acquisition of the value for the blade pitch angle, • Determining a correction quantity for the blade pitch angle depending on the change in the generator torque and the value for the blade pitch angle, • Determining a corrected target value for the blade setting angle, which results from a speed-dependent setpoint for the blade setting angle in regular operation and the determined correction variable for the blade setting angle.
