The device (9) has a flexible tensioning band provided with exciting ends and mounting the device on a bicycle (1). The tensioning band is pulled for attaching to a looped bicycle part i.e. top tube (3), at a tensioning unit i.e. carriage (13), or to a housing (11) of the device. The housing comprises a connection point for connecting an accessory (29) i.e. U-shaped lock (6), and a support for supporting the tensioning band. The tensioning unit commonly tensions the exciting ends against the housing. The tensioning band has a cross-section formed in a circular or polygonal shape.
