Centering and/or marking device for e.g. determining symmetry center of moncrystalline silicon ingot for manufacturing solar cells, has tubes whose sides comprise pressing elements, where tubes are symmetrically spaced from axle midpoint
The device has two measuring tubes (4) provided with inner sides and outer sides, where the device is made of iron, aluminum, magnesium or titanium. The inner sides of the tubes comprise pressing elements with two key touch areas (5). The tubes are symmetrically spaced from a midpoint (3') of an axle (3), where length of the tubes is greater than or equal to 50 mm or lesser than or equal to 1200 mm. The key touch areas comprise a rigid portion, a cylindrical elastic portion (5b) and a contact surface (7). Outer surfaces of the key touch areas are in contact with a silicon ingot (2). The key touch areas are formed as flat surfaces, rollers or wheels. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing wafers and bricks.
