Molded component (1) comprises: at least one protective or armor steel alloys, which are obtained by at least partial thermoforming, at least partial press-hardening and at least partial annealing; and many partial areas of increased hardness (2) and a partial area of increased ductility (3) on at least one of its two surface sides. The partial area of increased ductility is designed as a surface network structure over the whole area or a substantial portion, preferably at least 60%, above all at least 80% of the surface of the molded component. Molded component (1) comprises: at least one protective or armor steel alloys, which are obtained by at least partial thermoforming, at least partial press-hardening and at least partial annealing; and many partial areas of increased hardness (2) and a partial area of increased ductility (3) on at least one of its two surface sides. The partial area of increased ductility is designed as a surface network structure over the whole area or a substantial portion, preferably at least 60%, above all at least 80% of the surface of the molded component, where each individual partial area of increased hardness, which does not intersect the outer periphery surface of the molded component, is completely included by the partial area of increased ductility. The maximum distance of each individual partial area of increased hardness to adjacent partial area of increased hardness is originating from maximum and a half times of one caliber of projectiles or fragments, and cross-sectional dimensions of debris of projectiles or fragments, and/or an explosion fragments, to which the shape of the component serving as the armor member is provided in the respective predetermined bombardment and/or mine protection class. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a motor vehicle, comprising a body, preferably passenger compartment, which is reinforced by at least one molded component; and (2) producing a molded component, comprising providing a non-preformed board, which comprises at least one steel alloy, or at least partially preformed output component made of a circuit board, which comprises at least one of steel alloy, where the steel alloy is protection or armor steel alloy, and at least partially thermoforming in three dimensions, hardening, at least partially pressing the board or the main component and at least partially annealing the board or the main component, where many partial areas of increased hardness and a partial area of increased ductility are formed by locally different heating of the board or the main component before the thermoforming and/or locally varying cooling rates during the press hardening on at least one surface side of the molded component.
