The method involves providing multiple casing elements (10,11,12,13,14) and cast casing with a fixing unit, where a light guide (2) is provided at the fixing unit, in which one of the casing elements or a cast casing is fixed. The casing elements are connected with each other or are joined together. A flowable- or pourable hardening or curable composition is poured in the cast mold from the joined casing elements or the cast casing. The composition is stripped or removed after the hardening or curing of the shaped body. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a device for manufacturing a shaped body; and (2) a shaped body with fiber optic bundle.
