The device has spring bellows (18) supported at a construction site of a motor vehicle, and a wheel suspension item connected with a piston (20) under a roll fold, where the bellows are made of elastomer material. Effective outer diameter of the piston is controlled through a variable element. An expandable element is guided by the piston and axially oriented and circumferentially spaced around bars (42). The bars are externally adjusted on an electrically driven screw spindle (30) over a radially cone nut that is arranged on inner parts (38, 40).
