The lifting device (H) has a rope (1) and a rope winch (17) for the rope, where the rope winch is arranged on a carrier (25). A deflecting unit (4) for the rope is arranged at an end of the carrier. The carrier is positioned perpendicular to a base surface by a foot (5) and support elements (8,9). The foot is formed at another end of the carrier, which is opposite to the former side. The rope winch is drivable by a self-inhibited spiral wheel gear (2). A connection element (28) is provided for a rotary tool (3), over which a torque is transmitted to a drive shaft of the spiral wheel gear of the rope winch. The rotary tool is detachably fixed to the connection element.
