Electrochemical reformation of methane from its fumes, comprises coupling hydrogenation of carbon dioxide with the water electrolysis in a gas power plant, in a first phase of operation for natural gas or methane extraction from the gas grid, and combusting methane extraction to produce electrical energy, and discharging to the power supply, hydrogenating the carbon dioxide collected in the first operating phase using the hydrogen formed in the electrolysis of water to reform the methane, and introducing the methane gas into the network. Electrochemical reformation of methane from its fumes, comprises coupling hydrogenation of carbon dioxide with the water electrolysis in a gas power plant, in a first phase of operation for natural gas or methane extraction from the gas grid, and combusting methane extraction to produce electrical energy, and discharging to the power supply, where carbon dioxide is separated from fuel gases collected and stored and electrical energy is received from the power grid by the water electrolysis in a second operating phase, hydrogenating the carbon dioxide collected in the first operating phase using the hydrogen formed in the electrolysis of water to reform the methane, and introducing the methane gas into the network.
