The drive device (1) has a fluid-actuated working cylinder (2) with a housing, in which a piston (7) divides a front drive chamber (14) communicating with a control channel (28) from a rear drive chamber (15) communicating with another control channel (29). The front drive chamber is separated from an additional chamber (22) through a front end panel (16) in a fluid-tight manner. The additional chamber is pushed by a piston rod (8). An overflow channel (32) is formed in an output unit (5). A control valve (45) is provided with an unlocking input (48).
