The vehicle has a rear compartment equipment provided with a component with technical function that is adjusted by a control device over a network. A communication interface i.e. radio interface, is connected with the network. The technical function is executed by a portable device e.g. iphone(RTM: internet and multimedia-enabled smartphone), ipad(RTM: tablet computer) and ipod(RTM: portable media player), with computer function. The interface is connected to a control apparatus over the network for controlling the technical function using the portable device. The component is selected from a group consisting of an armchair with adjustable arm, a movable picture screen, a sound system with a separate subwoofer and an amplifier, a personal computer, a side window, a rear window made of electrical chromatic glasses, an electrical chromatic glass pane utilized as a partition wall to a driver region and/or lighting facility. The technical function is selected from a group consisting of a reclining function, a massage function and/or a lordosis function of the arm chair, an usage positioning function and a non-usage positioning function of the picture screen, and/or an activation state, color, a dimmed state, an interior lighting function, a headliner lighting function, a liner lighting or backlighting function and a subwoofer lighting or backlighting function of the lighting facility. An independent claim is also included for a method for adjusting a technical function of component of a rear compartment equipment.
