The device (1) comprises a control unit (4) coupled to several generators (3.1-3.n), such that some of generators are connected in load-free state, and the remaining electrically charged generators are operated in a specific given operating point, based on determined electrical current load of the network (2). A load detection unit (5) is provided for detecting utilization rate of the generators. An independent claim is included for method for controlling electric network with several generators.
