The device has a surface treatment element arranged on a holder that is provided as a bracket (2). A belt (3) is arranged between two ends of the bracket as the surface treatment element. The belt is deflected from an extended position in the plane of the bracket. The belt is tightly stretched between the ends of the bracket under tension, and is fixed without stress. The bracket has a U-shape, V-shape, semi-trapezoidal, partially circular, semi-circular or semi-oval shape. The inextensible belt is interchangeably arranged on the bracket through one or multiple spring elements.
