The valve has a magnet component (1) including an electromagnet (2) and a multi-part anchor (3) that cooperates with the electromagnet. The anchor comprises an anchor plate (6) that is axially pre-stressed in a direction of a valve seat (5) by force of a spring (4). A damper (7) attenuates stroke movement of the plate toward the seat and comprises a stroke-movable sleeve (9) that is indirectly supported at the plate by another spring (8) for limiting a fluid-filled damping chamber (10). The chamber is brought in engagement with a locating surface (11) for creating excess stroke impact.
