The method involves providing individual components e.g. longitudinal pipes (210,220), rib castings (230,240), a front transverse pipe (250), a middle transverse pipe (260) and motor retainers (270,280) to-be-joined to landing gear component (200). The heat pre-treatment of longitudinal pipes is carried out. The individual components are added to gear component by welding. A temporary condition is caused with heat pre-treatment of longitudinal pipes so that temporary warming treatment state is only transferred to gear component in final condition during heat treatment. An independent claim is included for landing gear component.
