A method for detecting unauthorized external influences comprises the constant acquisition of raw measuring data in a sensor unit; obtaining first measurement results by processing the raw measurement data of a defined time interval in a measurement unit; storing the first measurement results or transmitting the first measurement results to a supervisor at defined times via a communication channel; storing a defined fraction of raw measurement data or transmitting a defined fraction of raw measurement data to the supervisor randomly over the communication channel; the receipt of second measurement results by the supervisor processing the raw measurement data of the defined period; and comparing the first and second measurement results of a time interval.
