The assembly has a glass panel (1) comprising two glass sheets (11) separated with slots (10A, 11A) and joined by a sealing element (14) i.e. mastic, that is provided between the glass sheets. An illumination system (2) comprises a support and electrical connection i.e. printed circuit board (PCB) (21), and LEDs (20) arranged opposite to each of the slots. A profile element (3) comprises a longitudinal base (31), which carries the PCB. A maintaining part maintains a distance between illuminating faces of the LEDs and the glass panel.
