The device has a nacelle including a gun (7) and a turret (6) movable in azimuth and elevation, an optronic pointing device i.e. laser rangefinder (3), a navigation system assisted by satellites (2), and a fire control system to provide completely autonomous aerial cover to deployed troops in a combat zone. The nacelle includes an interface for electrical supply of the fire support device, where a reference axis of the turret is perpendicular to a line of flight of an aircraft, and the turret swivels in such way that the gun can be pointed in any position.
