The device (1) has a welding device (2) with a welding bar movable up and down for welding of plastic plates to each other. A discharge device (4) is provided for discharging and supporting the plastic plates welded to each other. A lifting device (5) is provided between the welding device and the discharge device for lifting the plastic plates welded to each other during discharge by the discharge device, where the discharge device includes a conveyor belt that is rotatable in clockwise or anti-clockwise directions. An independent claim is also included for a method for welding together of plastic plates to form a plate product.
