The device (1) has an L-shaped section defined in a plane (P) orthogonal with an edge (2) of a door (3). A rectangular rectilinear end (6) of the section is arranged to penetrate in a longitudinal groove (8) of the edge of the door in a removable manner. A rectangular orthogonal end (7) of the section is formed to be in a level with the edge of the door and one of two side surfaces (4) of the door. Length of the orthogonal end of the section is 10-90%, preferably 20-80% of width of the edge of the door or approximately equal to 50% of the width of the edge of the door. An independent claim is also included for a door.
