The method involves recording a reference pressure at a collector in a controller i.e. CPU, and measuring supercharging pressure (27) downstream of a compressor by a sensor. An accelerator pedal is released, and a difference value between the measured supercharging pressure and the recorded reference pressure is compared with a pre-registered threshold value by the controller. A discharge valve i.e. electric discharge valve, is opened by the controller in a controlled manner based on predetermined engine speed when the difference value reaches the pre-registered threshold value.
