The absorber (1) has an overhanging part (1a) extending beyond an end (2a) from an upper front cross beam (2). Longitudinal walls (1c, 1d) are connected to one another by partitions deformable in a shock event. A zone (A) is located at right sides of opposite ends of the cross beam. First and second transverse and vertical partitions (7, 8) are separated from one another by a horizontal partition (10) and the overhanging part. Another horizontal partition extends between a third transverse and a vertical partition (9) and the first or second transverse and vertical partition within the zone.
