The device (1) has two sections (3, 4) articulated between an open position in which a touch tablet is made available, and a closed position in which the sections are folded back one against the other to cover the touch tablet. Each section includes a handle (7) or a strap, and a removable fixing unit intended to cooperate with a complementary fixing unit envisaged on a protective shell. The handles of the sections are superimposed to form a single handle in the closed position of the sections.
