FUEL FEED SYSTEM, SCRAMJET ENGINE AND OPERATION METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably feed modified quality fuel by stably using a modified catalyser for thermal decomposition in a scramjet engine.SOLUTION: A fuel feed system comprises a fuel modification part 60 in which hydrocarbon system fuel is thermally decomposed with heat from a combustion chamber 40 of the scramjet engine to generate the modified quality fuel and to cool the combustion chamber 40. The fuel modification part 60 includes a preheating vaporization part 63 provided on the combustion chamber 40 and a decomposition reaction part 62 provided on the preheating vaporization part 63 and having the modified catalyser for thermal decomposition. The preheating vaporization part 63 heats the fuel; the decomposition reaction part 62 thermally decomposes the heated fuel to generate the modified quality fuel; and the fuel modification part 60 feeds the modified quality fuel to the combustion chamber. The modified catalyser includes a zeolite catalyst.
