In a magnetic gap of the magnetic core 2, a magnetic flux goes parallel to a direction of the gap. The width dimension of the detection object 1 in a Y-axial direction is smaller than the length dimension of the arm 21 in the Y-axial direction, and the detection object 1 and the magnetic core 2 are disposed so that a space d1 and a space d2 are left respectively between both ends of the detection object 1 and both ends of the arms 212.
