PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an item demand prediction device capable of enabling pre-arrangement of a long term delivery parts even when specifications of a product or component parts remain undetermined, and to reduce the work time in a make-to-order process.;SOLUTION: A pre-arrangement determination section 13 of an item demand prediction device 1 determines component parts to be pre-arranged based on a piece of business negotiation information acquired by an input section 11, a piece of prediction pattern information stored in a prediction pattern DB 122, a piece of component part constitution information stored in a component part constitution DB 124, a piece of prediction pattern information stored in a prediction master DB 123, and a piece of common stock information stored in a common stock DB 126. An output section 16 outputs a piece of pre-arrangement information. A common stock registration section 14 extracts unused component parts based on a piece of order reception information, the piece of component part constitution information, and the piece of pre-arrangement information and registers the same in the common stock DB 126. A pattern update section 15 calculates occurrence provability of definite specifications with respect to estimated specifications based on the piece of order reception information and the piece of business negotiation information including a piece of negotiation identification information identical to or being associated with a piece of work identification information included in the order reception information and updates the prediction pattern information based on the calculation result.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
