PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for efficient measurement of radiation in leakage water and a method thereof in a leakage water monitoring system utilizing an optical fiber.;SOLUTION: A radioactive leakage water monitoring system includes: a leakage water saucer for increasing a measurement area of leakage water; a plurality of radiation detectors for radiation dose detection and measurement of a background and the like; a light source for irradiating the radiation detectors with stimulus light; a photodetector for detecting light generated in the radiation detectors; an optical fiber connecting the radiation detectors, the light source, and a light source function to transmit the light from the light source and the light from the radiation detectors; a measuring instrument for counting pulses outputted from the photodetector; and an analyzer for extracting the amount of light derived from the radiation detectors, from a measurement result obtained by the measuring instrument to convert the amount of light to a dose and a dosage rate, so that an environmental background, a light source background, rainwater, and leakage water can be discriminated and analyzed to allow doze and dosage rate measurement with high accuracy and high sensitivity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
