PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily set a water leakage detecting sensor to a pipe and to surely detect water leakage by preventing erroneous operation by the water leakage detection sensor.;SOLUTION: In this water leakage detecting method for detecting water leakage from the pipe 2 connected to a plumbing facility, the string-like water leakage detection sensor 11 detecting water leakage is wound around a connection part 10 of a joint 3 for connecting pipes mutually and the pipe 2 to detect water leakage. The connection parts 10 are formed in at least two sections or more by the connection of the joint to the pipe 2, and each of the connection parts 10 is step-likely formed by the connection of the joint 3 to the pipe 2. The water leakage detection sensor 11 is wound around along respective steps 16, and the sections around which the water leakage detection sensor is wound along each step 16 are mutually connected to detect water leakage.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
