METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING WATERPROOF WORKING SPACE AND WATERPROOF WORKING CAISSON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for constructing a waterproof working space and a waterproof working caisson capable of securing high sealing performance at a butting portion of a water shutoff material when constructing the waterproof working caisson through the water shutoff material which contacts a periphery of a pile-like body erected in water and configures a ring shape with both circumferential edges thereof butted.;SOLUTION: Arc-like water shutoff materials 3A and 3B are installed at positions corresponding to a through-hole 2a on caisson segment bodies 2A and 2B with a predetermined protrusion distance from the caisson segment bodies 2A and 2B in a circumferential direction. The caisson segment bodies 2A and 2B are assembled so that the water shutoff materials 3A and 3B abut on a peripheral surface of a pile-like body 13. A caisson body 2 is constructed by abutting respective circumferential edges of the water shutoff materials 3A and 3B so as to surround a periphery of the pile-like body 13. The water shutoff materials 3A and 3B are pressed against the peripheral surface of the pile-like body 13 by inflating rubber tubes 4A and 4B which are extended along the peripheral surface of the water shutoff materials 3A and 3B with overlaps in the circumferential direction at butting portions JS of the water shutoff material 3A and 3B.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
