PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the production of inflammatory cytokine in a subject who needs a treatment of an inflammation.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for improving an inflammation, inhibiting the expression of proinflammatory cytokine and/or chemokine, and treating various diseases and/or conditions associated with the expression of inflammation by administering an effective amount of a peptidyl analog of native human ghrelin or a prodrug thereof to a subject who needs such a treatment. The analog or prodrug thereof is H-Inp-D-Bal-D-Trp-Phe-Apc-NH2 or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
