PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor fiber with a simple configuration which enables simultaneous measurement of many parameters including changes of temperature, length, bending, and particularly, torsion.SOLUTION: A sensor fiber 1 comprises a plurality of cores and an FBG structure. The sensor fiber comprises at least two FBG fiber cores 2 and a surrounding coating material 3. One or more means for distinction and orientation are disposed in the fiber so as to unambiguously address each FBG fiber core.
