PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition that improves heat resistance and particularly inhibits the changes in performance such as the change in hardness of rubber due to long-term use (rubber hardening degradation) without increasing the amount of an age resistor and as a result, can extend the service life without deteriorating the performance on ice, further can shorten the vulcanization time while maintaining good scorch resistance and increase crosslinking efficiency and to provide a studless tire having a tire cap tread produced using the rubber composition. PSOLUTION: The rubber composition for a cap tread includes a rubber component containing an isoprene rubber, silica, and as vulcanization accelerators, a specific N-containing sulfur heterocyclic compound and a thiuram vulcanization accelerator.
