PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass foamed body applicable to wastewater treatment and a method for producing the same, and a glass foamed body to which a phosphoric acid adsorbing capacity is imparted and a method for producing the same. PSOLUTION: The glass foamed body includes two or more kinds of glasses having different softening temperatures, where in at least one kind of glass 3, glass 2 having a softening temperature higher than the glass 3 is dispersed in the form of particles, and adsorption performance of the adsorbent is improved by the glass foamed body containing calcium component, since the surface area of glass foamed body increases and the amount of calcium of glass foamed body surface increases. Furthermore, since water holding property inside the glass foamed body can be improved by having a gap 4 which has a single maximal value of a pore diameter in the range of 0.1-2 m and a maximal value of 0.1 cmSP3/SP/g or more in the pore diameter distribution, it is applicable to treatment of a substance which can adsorb calcium in wastewater.
