PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for cutting and grinding with which alteration and deterioration in a cutting and grinding wheel due to heat can be prevented to elongate the life of the cutting and grinding wheel while machining accuracy is enhanced and an environmental load can be reduced, and to provide a cutting and grinding oil, the cutting and grinding wheel and a surface treatment material.;SOLUTION: A mineral of a phyllosilicate to be a porous lizardite and/or antigorite having a large surface area is incorporated in the cutting and grinding oil 1 as a main component. Thereby, heat generated at the cutting and grinding wheel 2 and a surface 3a to be cut and ground can be taken more by the lizardite and/or antigorite and thus a part between the cutting and grinding wheel 2 and the surface 3a to be cut and ground can be cooled more than before.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
