PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing structure and a reinforcing method using no fire in reinforcing a bolt joint joining part of an H-shaped steel. PSOLUTION: The reinforcing structure for the bolt joint joining part of an H-shaped steel is constructed by providing webs 21, 22 with a through hole respectively which lies adjacent to the bolt joint joining part, arranging precast blocks 8, 9 having through holes on both sides of the webs 21, 22 of the H-shaped steels 1, 2 and between a bottom surface of an upper flange and a top surface of a lower flange so as to lie adjacent to or to straddle the bolt joint joining part, arranging steel plates 5, 6 on outer surfaces of and across the precast blocks, inserting a steel rod 7 into the through holes of the steel plate, the precast block, and the web, screwing nuts to both ends of the steel rod 7 to apply tensile force, whereby an upper surface of the each precast block is pressed against the bottom surface of the upper flange and a bottom surface of the each precast block is pressed against the top surface of the lower flange.
