Fully integrated electromagnetic interference (EMI) filter based on flexible multilayer strip

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of an EMI filter.;SOLUTION: The entirely integrated EMI filter is configured as follows. EE or EI cores configure a closed magnetic circuit including two side pillars and one middle pillar. The middle pillar has an air gap. A first winding and a second winding are wound around the two side pillars in the same winding directions, respectively. The middle pillar is wound with a third winding and a fourth winding, or with only a fifth winding. Passive components (e.g., all passive components) of the EMI filter are integrated into one core so that, in its differential mode, an insertion loss is significantly reduced, a size and a volume are reduced, and the distribution constant of the EMI filter is hardly influenced on filter's performance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
