P To provide an electronic apparatus life-and death monitoring system capable of determining a life-and-death state of each electronic apparatus in a remote location at an early stage and suppressing occurrence of a communication charge. PSOLUTION: A mobile phone 140 of an example of a communication terminal operated by a maintenance person makes a call to a PHS communication device 120 of an electronic apparatus 100 of which life-and-death state is monitored (Seq1). The PHS communication device 120 having the originating call arrival transfers an incoming call notification command including a caller number of the originating call mobile phone 140 to the electronic apparatus 100 (Seq6); and transmits a ringing state signal to the originating call mobile phone 140 to make it generate a ringback tone (Seq7, 8, and 9). The electronic apparatus 100 receiving the incoming call notification command transmits a disconnection request command to the PHS communication device 120, when acknowledgment time set as a time value showing normal operation has passed (Seq11); and makes the originating call mobile phone 140 transmit the disconnection request command and stop the ringing ringback tone (Seq12, 13, and 14).
