PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assist device and an endoscope system for a treatment with forceps under good endoscopic observation by illuminating an affected area located anteriorly even if the forceps piece is opened while the shadow of the forceps is eliminated. PSOLUTION: The assist device 12 is used together with a nasal endoscope 11 having an inserting section 16 for inserting from one external nostril and has an inserting section for inserting from the other external nostril when it is used together. The tip of the inserting section of the assist device 12 is fixed to the tip of the inserting section of the endoscope 11 in an body cavity by a fixing means. A lightening window 92 is mounted on the tip surface 44a of the inserting section of the assist device 12. The lightening window 92 of the assist device 12 is mounted oppositely to a lightening window 66 across the forceps entry 67 of the endoscope 11 when it is fixed by the fixing means. Especially, the lightening window 92 of the assist device 12 is preferably mounted in order to position the center 92a on a line 100 which connects the centers 66a, 67a of the lightening window 66 of the endoscope 11 and the forceps entry 67.
