The purpose of this object is to provide a cariostatic food which comprises: (1) (i) a calcium salt of a phosphated sugar; or (ii) a combination of a salt of a phosphated sugar other than a calcium salt of a phosphated sugar or a phosphated sugar with a water-soluble calcium salt other than a calcium salt of a phosphated sugar; and (2) hydroxyapatite microparticles, wherein the phosphated sugar consists of a sugar moiety with a phosphate group moiety; and the particle diameter of the hydroxyapatite microparticles is from 10 nm to 380 nm.
