The present innovation describes that an innovative design of guide and slide-ways has been suggested that is coating the specimen holder with 60:40 proportion (%) of Teflon to copper to reduce the wear and friction and hence increasing the life of machine. Ultimately increasing cost effectiveness of universal friction and wear test apparatus. The main disadvantage of traditional guide and slide ways system that specimen holder gets wear and tear due to friction. The main advantage of this innovative system is that by coating the specimen holder with 60:40 in proportion (%) of Teflon and copper. It minimizes wear and friction. Ultimately increasing life of machine.
