A hopper (20) disposed at the lower end of the casing (12) and positioned facing the fixed electrode type electric dust collector (28) is removed to form a lower opening portion (64). A hoist (78) is disposed at a position facing the lower opening portion (64) of the casing (12). After removing the fixed electrode type electric dust collector (28) the moving dust collecting electrode (46) and the discharge electrode (54) are suspended by the hoist (78) and are carried in from the lower opening portion (64).
